Greetings Idlewild Families!

We are excited to begin the 2026-2027 school year! As we prepare to kick off another great year at Idlewild, we want you to know we are glad you are here and will be part of the Falcon Team. Idlewild is an International Baccalaureate (IB) school. IB is a leader in international education-developing inquiring, knowledgeable, confident, and caring young people. IB programs empower our students to take ownership in their own learning and help them develop future-ready skills to make a difference and thrive in a world that changes fast.

As we prepare for the new school year, we have a few events to take note of:

Office Summer Hours:

The main office will be open from 8:00am-2:30pm (closing from 12:00-12:30pm for lunch). The office is open through June 30th but will be closed June 19th in observance of Juneteenth. The office will be closed in July and will reopen starting August 1st to assist with registration or answer any questions you may have.

Monday, August 31: Idlewild Meet and Greet - Kindergarten 3:30 - 5:00 pm - Grades one through five - 5:30 - 7:00pm

Wednesday, September 2: First Day of School for 1st grade-5th grade- 8:10-2:40
We will be ready to greet students starting at 7:50 am. School is dismissed at 2:40 pm. 

September 2-4: Kindergarten WA Kids Conferences
Your child's teacher will schedule a time for you to come and meet with them at the school. 

Monday, September 7: Labor Day - No school

Tuesday, September 8: First Day of School for Kindergarten- 8:10-2:40
We will be ready to greet students starting at 7:50 am. School is dismissed at 2:40 pm. 

Wednesday, September 9: Late Start - Gates open at 8:50 am and classes begin at 9:10 am

It is a privilege to be able to serve as the principal of Idlewild Elementary. I look forward to continuing to support student growth and partnering with families as we move into the new school year. As we prepare to begin this new school year, I know you all are what makes Idlewild a great place to be! Our students, families, and staff are amazing and I know we all value working together to make sure each child has success.

Enrollment Information

Enrollment is open year-round through the Clover Park School District website. If you already have students in the district, you can register through your Family Access account.
